I'm not really sure what I have to post tonight, but figured that I would just start typing and something would come up.
The weather here lately has quite frankly sucked! Take today for instance. When I went outside this morning at 9am it was as if Anchorage was in the eye of the storm. An almost perfect circle of blue sky boarded by some really ugly clouds. The clouds where so low that you could not see the mountains that surround Anchorage. Though out the day it would rain, and I mean really rain (the Mat-Valley was declared a disaster area because of flooding). The winds where gusting up to 35mph, making the rain fall at about 45 degrees. And so it would do this for about an hour and then the sun would come out for about an hour and then it would all start over again. The clouds eventually cleared from the mountains to reveal what we Alaskans call "Termination Dust" other wise known as snow. It is called "Termination Dust" because when the tourist and snow birds see it on the mountain tops they "terminate" their visits and leave Alaska for the winter. I don't suspect that the snow will last very long. However, with the way this summer is going it would not surprise me if I wake up in the morning and have to shovel the driveway.
I'm sure your all wondering how Nancy is doing. And I am happy to report that she is doing very well. She doesn't seem to want to throw up as much lately. She is starting to show signs of a little belly (I'll post pictures later). She was feeling well enough this morning to take Larri for a 6 mile run.
Nancy and I had been thinking that we should probably buy a bigger house before T.D. (Tax Deduction) arrives. We have decided that we are going to stay with our present house for the time being. Just a heads up for those that are going to be visiting after our blessed day...Things will be tight, but your still welcome to come.
Larri is doing well and has know idea that in a few months she will be knocked down another step on the food chain. Oh, Larri will be starting an agility class this week. She is going to learn how to run around one of those obstacle courses that you see on TV at 2am on the dog show network.
As for me, I'm doing well. I need to get back into my gym schedule, I've been pretty lazy lately. I still haven't really excepted the fact that I'm going to be a father to someone. I find myself daydreaming at times about the future and what our lives will be like in 20 years. Mostly the daydreams are pretty happy, but some have been down right unnerving. On a happier note I have caught myself while taking out the trash, cleaning Larri's bathroom, washing dishes and other not so enjoyable chores thinking of how great it is going to be to delegate these character building exercises on to T.D. (this buy the way is what our child will be referred as until its birth), that brings a smile to my face...Oh and I'll also never have to get up to get the remote for the Television, well at least not for 18 years.
Tata for now.
