It sure has been a while since I last added anything to our blog.
Since my last enty I have made my very first and last wedding cake. Well, maybe not. I have always avoided doing wedding cakes because of all the things that could go wrong, i.e. it being dropped, falling over, or any kind of devine internvention. Anyway alot of stress that I didn't want to deal with. So you maybe asking yourself why I decided to do this cake. To that I have no good answer, I suppose I just wanted to be able to say that I had made a wedding cake. I cant say that I am overly impressed with my effort, which is why I may try to make another one. The bride was happy with it, so I think that is what really matters. And just so you know, the flowers and the colors where requested by the bride... would not have been my first choice. CHEERS!
When you work for the City of Anchorage as a Food Safety and Sanitation Inspector you get to see some interesting stuff. This person evidently makes a REALLy good pizza.
So after inspecting all of the food boths, I got to take a short break and enjoy the beautiful view and a really crapping band. Oh well, I at least got poaid to listen to them...and for that I would like to thank the tax payers of the Municapality of Anchorage.
