Happy New Year and Birthday

2000 & 6 ended with cheers and warm wishes as we welcomed the New Year.
Champagne, cognac, various other cordials, Vic's wine, the finest Canadian Lagers, and wonderful foods made the time go by very fast in the Sault. If we were not sleeping, we were eating...and this went on for 2 weeks.
At times it seemed like some kind of Pavlovian experiment, every time the door bell rang...Today when the neighbor came by and rang the door bell, I started to fell dizzy and very full.
I'm not sure how we did it, but we all managed to stay up until 12 am to not only Celebrate the end of a great year, but to also wish Nancy's Grandfather a Happy 91st birthday. You can't tell by this picture, but I had every one's new digital camera that they received for Christmas propped up on a box at the end of the table to take a timed picture. Pretty neat seeing five camera flashes going off in succession...probably need to have been there to appreciate it...at any rate, Cheers!

I think that when we have Grandpa's next birthday we should use 92 individual candles and give him a can of compressed air to put them out.
Grandpa Bruno is not a man of many words, but when I asked him what his secret to a Long and Healthy life was he said, "goccia guasto voi americano smelly!" and he said this with some real enthusiasm, I think that he really is happy to have an American in the family.
