It has been a long time since I have posted anything on our Blog. So, just to get everyone up to date...
Today we received our first substantial snowfall of the winter, yes winter. Of course winter doesn't officially start for a few more weeks, but up here in Alaska, if we get the chance to do something before anyone else, we jump at it.
Nancy took me to see the play "Frankinstien" which frankly "Frankinsucked". I thought the actors do a pretty good job, but the story wasn't at all what I was expecting...Nancy even fell asleep. Our next big theatrical disappointment will be in the middle of December sometime...Joseph and the techno-colored dream coat. Maybe my expectation are just too high? I have yet to see anything that I thought was worth the time spent walking from the parking lot into the P.A.C. (Performing Arts Center for those of out of towners). Maybe movies and all of the special effects have just ruined me? I'll keep my fingers crossed for the next one.
Larri doesn't seem to have noticed the snow. Of course, I'm not sure what I would expect from her. It isn't as if she is going to ask the dreaded, "Enough snow for ya?" question. The only deviation that the snow causes her is a few uncomfortable, but funny moments of Nancy and I trying to put a sweater and snow shoes on her.
The roads of course are very treacherous. As a matter of fact on our way to the theater, we were almost hit at an intersection by a mini van that either was unable to stop because of the slick roads or just had no idea that they were running a red light...At any rate, got a couple more grey hairs from that.
For the last two Mondays and Wednesday Nancy and I have been going to a baby birth class. I'm sure that it had a better name then that, I just don't remember what it was, but you get the point of the subject matter. And here is my canned response to what I thought of the class.
"Yes, I learned a lot about how babies are born. Yes, I am glad that I went to all four 3 hour classes. It was disgusting!!!" Our kid better be an absolute angel. I'm going to be pissed if Nancy and I go through this for some brat! But I'm told that after all the slim is whipped away, and the black devil baby poop is disposed of, everything will be alright.
Last night Nancy took me to a Halloween costume Party.
Nancy went as, Partly Cloudy with a chance of Showers. I went as an Anorexia Survivor. We of course forget a camera. There were a lot of really neat customs. There was Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter, Michael Jackson, a handful of vampires, but our favorite had to be the Fandango Puppets, you know the Fandango commerical at the movie theater with the paper bag puppets, really cute. It was held in a movie theater downtown. Pretty amusing.
Well this coming weekend is my first really big deal party for the slowly growing company. It should be for about 13 people. I'm getting really excited about it and nervous. So while doing this I also have a fund raiser on Sunday to prepare for. It is for about 1000 people. Oh yeah, I also still have my real job to do during the week. Going to be busy. I'll try not to forget the camera.
Nancy and Larri are both doing well. Nancy is starting to look more and more like a little Buddha everyday.
Shine On!
