Larri and her friend, the blue ball, are takeing a break after a nice long hike through Kinkade Park. We saw a moose while walking around the park. The unusally part isn't that we saw a moose, it's that we only saw a moose. Latter in the season...October,
it would not be uncommon to see 9 or more. As a matter of fact, when I proposed to my beautiful wife, it was in this park and we see saw two bull moose fighting not 50 yards from us. Pretty scary.
it would not be uncommon to see 9 or more. As a matter of fact, when I proposed to my beautiful wife, it was in this park and we see saw two bull moose fighting not 50 yards from us. Pretty scary.I had to work on the 4th of July in order to inspect all of the food vendors at the Park Strip. So I brought my camera and was able to take a few interesting pictures of some of the things that were going on.
I saw a fire truck. Not alot of you know this but when I was little I wanted to be a fire truck. Thought this would be an interesting picture. It is of the side of a Anchorage Fire Department Fire Truck. I'm not sure what it all does, something to do with water and water pressure. It must be pretty important stuff because they got pretty excited about me playing with some of the knobs and switches.

This is a Memorial to all of the American Soldiers that have died if foriegn wars. Seemed to be a pretty popular gathering place for alot of people today.
Some days it is surrounded by people protesting the war in Iraq...and then right across the street are the people protesting the protesters protest about the war in Iraq. Anyway, I think that its a nice memorial. Has a very powerful feel to it, especially in the winter when it gets really cold and it is covered with frost.
